Entrepreneur Of The Week: Rahma Adam Mohammed

Introducing our Entrepreneur of the Week, A trailblazer in the beauty and wellness industry. Inspired by her entrepreneurial upbringing and a keen eye for market needs, Rahma Adam Mohammed founded Amaryadotcom Spa in Abuja. Combining ancient traditions with modern practices, she has created a sanctuary where beauty and wellness intertwine, empowering women from the inside out. Her passion and innovation are reshaping the landscape of beauty, making her a true visionary in this field.

Q: What motivated you to become an entrepreneur?

I grew up in an entrepreneurial family, watching my dad for so many years do what he does has naturally sparked an interest in that line for me. He built an empire out of nothing. It will forever be my number one motivation. Secondly i saw the need of wellness in abuja where i reside. People had to bring traditional masu gyaran jiki (local beauticians) from outside abuja to beautify themselves back in the days, i sharpened my wits in this department to provide a solution to an existing problem! Beauty has always been my thing! Beautiful skin, beautiful intricate henna, lush healthy hair all of that! It made the entrepreneurial journey easy for me! Because it’s always been my passion! Alhamdulillah, The rest they say is history 😊!

Q: Describe your business and its mission.

Amaryadotcom’s Mission is:

To enhance the inner beauty and confidence in our clients by Fusing state-of-art practices with our ancient Traditional Feminine Secrets and superior quality Plant-based products.

Our mission is to provide one of a kind service care and promote confidence and self-worth of every woman that steps into Amaryadotcom Holistic spa!!

Q: What has been your greatest accomplishment as an entrepreneur?

Frankly speaking there are many, but to zero it on recent developments i will say Her360 by Amaryadotcom. reason being it was the hack all along! That fusion between the outside and inside of a woman! Holistic approach of things! I have always had the desire to connect and touch all points of holistic beauty at amaryadotcom : mental, spiritual, social and emotional aspects of a woman. beauty should not only be on the outside where you’re all glowed up with a glassy skin but the inside is all dull and rusty. Figuring out ways for the vibrance to go deeper than the skin. introducing her360, is helping us at amarydotcom with ways to address the whole woman, all the touch points of holistic wellness’

Her360 is not just one of Amaryadotcom pillars, it’s a celebration of the whole woman because every woman deserves to leave the best version of her life!

Might i chip in also how amazing it feels to be a thing of pride to ones parents and family. That feels so accomplishing! Alhamdulillah!

Q:What challenges have you faced and how did you overcome them?

We faced management challenges initially, because as amaryadotcom grew, the clients grew with it, it was then i realised you can not use stick in a machine gun fight, lol! We had to better equip ourselves to rise up to the challenge, get our SOPs in check, our organization organogram, more trainings, more staff, bigger space to accommodate the growing number Alhamdulillah. In a way it was a blessing in disguise. Because its what growth does. It shakes you to your bits to shift your perspectives and sharpen your wits as well!!!

Q: What sets your business apart from others in your industry?

I will say its our constant ability and efforts to impress our Amaryasquad Clients at every opportunity. From the Top-notch service experience to the quality of our highly effective products, as well as the ability of our staff to go above and beyond to attend to each customer and provide them with the best treatments.

At amaryadotcom spa, beauty for us is both in the new and old! our ability and creativity to fuse beauty of what used to be (tradition) what is trending now (conventional) and looking out for what is to come!

We have developed personalized treatments that would take a woman through the milestones of her life. From preparing for her marriage, her pregnancy, being a new mum, detoxing, trying to lose weight, stressed, tired, feeling and looking flat – we developed treatments with this in the front of mind. All of these has set us apart in the Spa industry!

Q: What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

Don’t fear failure and dont be shy to start from the scratch! Not everything you try will work. Failure is a normal part of the process. Failures are lessons in disguise to learn and grow from. Its the cornerstone of every successful business. It simply adds to your grit and make your more resilient! Don’t be afraid to admit when you are wrong. When something you try fails, it doesn’t make you a failure as a person.

Starting from the scratch also gives you the opportunity to be well experienced, to see and experience the highs and lows makes you really strong not much will wither you because you allowed yourself go through the thins and thicks of it. You will have ample knowledge to navigate yourself when the journey gets tough!

Q: What are your future plans and goals for your business?

We understand that our reputation is our most valuable asset, and we spare no effort in upholding uncompromising standards of excellence in all aspects of our operations.

Our vision is of global expansion, Amaryadotcom sets its sights on establishing a network of one-stop wellness centres spanning Accross the world inshAllah!. With a firm foundation built on innovation, integrity, and inclusivity, we stand poised to transcend boundaries and usher in a new era of holistic well-being on a truly global scale.

Q: Who are your biggest influences or mentors in your industry?

I used to watch joelle Mardinian when i was much younger, in my grandmas room i still remember. She is A Lebanese TV Show Host, A beautician, an Entrepreneur, and Founder of Joelle Beauty, Joelle is one of the Middle East’s most influential socialites. I used to watch how she will transform clients from 0 to 10 literally. Touching every area. I was amazed by that. It just stirred one of the things in me that birthed Amaryadotcom today!

Also huda of hudabeauty has been a great influence. I read how she started and grew in leaps simply by dedication, consistency and passion which are some of the good stuffs Allah has blessed me with MashAllah! Following their footsteps became easier Alhamdulillah!

Q: How do you balance work and personal life?

Still a battle in my life! Lol! Its one the hardest things for me. One week i am giving my all to my business the next to my family the next to myself or just a mix of these! Currently i am praying to God to be more intentional and aware of where my attention goes so that other departments or pillars of my life don’t suffer while the other strives.

Its just a daily struggle for me. But slowly i am beginning the get the hangs of it, hopefully it becomes a habit isA where the balance strikes!

Because I loved you

It began as a quiet itch, barely noticeable at first, but deep within me—something gnawing at the core of my being. Some would call it my soul, but I knew it went even deeper than that. It was my existence, stirred in ways I couldn’t understand.
